Iam in need of help paying my rent have been out of work for 4 months now and i have been sraeching for employment, I'm very blessed to have my boy friend by my side because he struggles to pay the bills on his own. He work over time just to provide for my two kids and our 1 kid. I try not to let this get the best of, but i have stressed out and getting little sleep over this. If there is someone who can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I am in need of rental assistance soon to be evicted, my husband and I moved here from PA. We had our own business but had to sell it, it was a food concession truck and it was in bad shape (mechanically). We moved to MD to try to start over and moved to Salisbury because its a bigger city we thought work would come easy, my husband is a very good and experienced cook, he had 2 jobs at once but was let go because they couldn't afford to pay him any more. He does still have 2nd job at Red Lobster. I had hip replacement and have limited jobs that I am able to do. Please help us.

I'm in need of emergency assistance for my rent. I'm a single mother of 5 children ages 15,12,7(twin girls), & 3. I' recently had to move into the apartments I'm currently in due to my being layed off previously last year. It was God's grace that got me through and I trust him so much I know it will be his grace that will get me through this. I was working however the job that I had at this time was only temporary and the assignment ended in 02/2011. I've been getting by on my tax refund up to this point. I've taken my youngest son (3yr old) out of day care due to my not being able to pay the bill any longer and that bill is currently past due. I've already spoken w/my exhusband and he's agreed to watch him for me during the day until I can get the daycare bill paid down I'm not eligible for assistance through DSS due to my previously going down there this year. You can only get assistance through social services once per year.I have $375 toward my rent and I'm in need of $488. I've asked some friends and I spoke w/ my father he said that he can give me $100 or $150. I do have a new job however I will not be starting until 05/16/2011, and I'm not sure if I will get paid in time to pay the balance on my rent. According to the notice sent to me. If the balance is not paid they will proceed with a right of redemption (that means whether I have the money or not they will still evict). I have to have the money paid to them by the date of the court hearing. As much as I don't like the smaller place I'm in it's all I have right now. Please help. I'll take what I can.

Im in the same boat. I have two children and am married. I have been sick for a very long time, but recently started to get better. I have suffered from Severe Seboriac Arthritis.I have tried working at home, but I had been so sick I couldnt get out of bed at times.
I had been like that for so long, and we have no more monies saved or even earned any longer.
We are temporarily living at a home that is mold infested, Termite damaged and still has flooding when it rains.
I dont really care about my health per say, but if Im not healthy I dont think we will have the monies to pay rent. Its expensive in our area, and we have called a few shelters and the ones I have called refer us to somewhere else each time. which does not serve our region. I think I have enough for a new smaller apartment for the first month maybe. I have experience in computer work and internet business developement. I also studied architecture, but did not finish. I have not been able to do too much physical work due to damage to my leg and knee, which i cannot stand for long periods of time or walk for long periods of time, due to my condition. My wife does work as well.
I am about to look into places near then PG cnty Metro or Takoma Park Metro, because they are good access points for transportation and work. I found very affordable housing near these areas. They are still close enough for my kids to go to their schools.
If someone could just help and sponsor us for a short time, Im sure we will be able to catch up on things. Any help and/or excellent sure result having advice that will lead to sure housing in the area, will be appreciated.

I am a single father with 2 children ages 2 and 14. I have never asked for any help before because I never been in this situation. I lost my job about 2 months now and could never save any money because of daycare and rent, utilities, etc; I am facing eviction because I am 2 months behind in my rent. I do not have any family in this area and just need a temporary hand until I start work April 6. I am looking for someone to point me in the right direction for rent assistance. I am willing to pay back on a monthly payment once I start working. Never been in this situation but I do not know where to go for help. Social service only will give 300, but that's not enough, I do not even have partial rent to contribute now. Any suggestions...

I LIVE ON A MONTH TO MONTH LEASE AND IS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH TRYING TO PAY MY RENT FOR FEBRUARY. MY CHURCH PAID THE RENT FOR JAN WHICH WAS A BLESSING FROM GOD! I WAS INJURED AT WORK, AND THEY R DENYING ME WORKS COMP SO I HIRED A LAWYER. THIS PROCESS HOPEFULLY WON'T TAKE LONG, BUT DON'T KNOW OF ANY OTHER AVENUES 2 TRY. HUBBIE SHOULD START WORKING SOON GOD WILLING.

 in response to DavidIV...   Ha thanks for the reply. I did not try the Salvation Army. I seem to have a bad oman following me as I am now behind in the apartment that I moved into in Baltimore city.

Reply to Tali_blkIrish:---I don't quite understand your circumstances, you said you and your fiance both lost your jobs. Your rent is due on the 24th of July in the amount of $680 and I am assuming that the $680 is for the rent of July only and you are not in arrears, right? Then you said your fiance is in the army and is getting a 10 thousand dollar bonus on the 31st of July, right? Is your fiance employed or not? First you said he lost his job, then you said he was in the army and getting a huge bonus. I do not know a landlord that would kick a military family out of their apartment knowing they will have the full amount of the rent only 7 days after it's due. He cannot legally kick you out for paying your rent in full  only 7 days late and it's even in the same month it's due. I think there may be more going on here than your saying. If you could explain this to me in more detail so I could understand how your fiance could have lost his job recently and yet still be in the army expecting a bunch of money only 7 days after your rent is due.Maybe it's just the way you wrote it but it seems to me that your in good shape money and rent wise.
